Almerida is in the North-West corner of Crete...
Situated 45 minutes from Chania Airport and just 40 minutes from Chania Town.

It has a safe, sandy beach with a number of tavernas... eat at a table and dip your toes in the sea.
It is Very safe for swimming. Wind-surfing is also available. Almerida now has it own periptero (a small kiosk selling almost eveything) as well as a number of mini-markets with fresh food.

Local fishing boats nestle in the man-made harbour at one end of the bay, while tamarisk trees shelter your sun-bathing at the other.
